Barrett Sports Media has announced a special surprise for the final day of their 2023 BSM Summit later this month. Sports broadcasting icon Al Michaels will be honored with BSM’s Lifetime Achievement Award for more than a half century behind the microphone. The BSM Summit is March 21 and 22 at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center in LA.
Barrett is recognizing Michaels’ storied career across the breadth of sports. In addition to calling the NFL’s biggest games each week for three different networks, Michaels has been in the booth for the World Series, Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, the Indy 500, Horse Racing’s Triple Crown races, College Football and Basketball, Golf, Hagler vs. Hearns, and the Olympics.
