KOGT-AM, in the small town of Orange, Texas, will cease operations Friday, after serving the community for 73 years. Gary Stelly has owned the station for 30 years. He first worked at the station in college and purchased it in 1992.
Stelly cited a number of factors, including changing media.
KOGT at 1600 AM went on the air January 16, 1948.
