The Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio organization has announced is has officially become a 501(c)(3) charitable entity. The volunteer organization includes top-level female radio professionals who use their experience, influence, and resources to help other women in radio develop management and leadership skills. WIL St. Louis host Mason Schreader got a tattoo of the radio station he worked for one week before he was fired. Schreader hosted mornings on the “Mason & Remy Show” with Zachary Hoesly. He posted this picture to Twitter with the comment: “Hahahahahhahhahahhahahha I just got fired. [read more]



Howard Viken passed away Saturday morning at the age of 97. Viken joined WCCO in Minneapolis in 1950 and began a 39-year run for the station. Viken became one of the most recognized names in the state of Minnesota. Viken, a Marine, fought in World War II in the Battle of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. [read more]
