Those were the words of Townsquare CEO Bill Wilson on the company's first quarter earnings call Monday. Townsquare saw over $4 million in advertising cancellations in March, resulting in a 10% revenue decline for that month, an 18 point swing after the month began up 8%. [read more]

Grisel Barajas, Program Director for Urban One's WNOW (LaGrande 105.1) in Indianapolis, died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.  She was riding with her boyfriend, who was the driver. He survived the crash. Barajas ws only 31 years old. [read more]
 
Hometown Broadcasting in Wisconsin announced on its website that a tragic kayaking accident over the weekend took the life of Tami McCauley, who listeners knew as Lexi Young. McCauley was kayaking with her sister Saturday, on the Mecan River, when something went wrong and she drowned. [read more]
 
Tamron Hall will host the 2020 NAB Leadership Foundation Celebration of Service to America Awards. The hour-long event will be pre-recorded and available on line and for radio and TV broadcast in August. [read more]
