The Asheville Radio Group announced that WISE morning man Pat Ryan has died at the age of 57 after a 4-year battle with cancer. Ryan was the longtime host of the sports radio talk show The WISE GUYS. His wife Kathleen was by his side. [read more]



730,000 meals will be served thanks to donations made at the 26th annual WNOR/WAFX Mayflower Marathon Food Drive in Virginia Beach. The drive took place simultaneously at four locations from 5:30am on Friday, 11/18 until 3pm on Sunday, 11/20. [read more]



Cox Media Group's news-talk station WSB (750 AM, 95.5 FM) says its first Election Night special held in early November was a success. Now, the station is looking for ways to replicate that coverage for other political stories of interest. [read more]

Scott Shepard, a weekend DJ at Detroit's classic rock station WCSX (94.7 FM), died on Saturday, November 12 at the age of 49. Shepard worked for WCSX for two decades; his most recent role saw him host the Sunday morning show Overeasy. [read more]
