The 40 Most Powerful People in Radio
Each spring, our editorial team begins the arduous process that culminates in what has become an industry standard — the Radio Ink list of the 40 Most Powerful People in Radio. It begins with a series of meetings and a list that is started literally “from scratch.” We consider multiple factors: Organizational size and revenue, leadership qualities, and overall impact on the industry.

It's been a year of tough decisions. Some will agree with us. Others won’t. What everyone should agree on, however, is that these are powerful people who are impacting the radio industry, and we at Radio Ink are proud to include them in this year’s list.

Lifetime Leadership Award: Erica Farber
Erica Farber has done it all: sales, management, publishing, and, most recently, a 12-year tenure at the head of the Radio Advertising Bureau, always breaking barriers and setting new standards for excellence.
In our 2024 Lifetime Leadership Award feature, we talk with Erica about her career, how radio advertising has changed, the impact of technology, and the importance of attracting new talent to the industry.
Publisher's Beat: Leadership to Live By
Radio Ink President & Publisher Deborah Parenti is a big fan of JP Morgan Chase CEO Jaime Dimon. In this month’s column, she breaks down the 10 elements of Dimon’s leadership philosophy, challenging radio professionals to assess how they measure up.

The Wizard of Ads
Roy Williams has never been afraid to take aim at sacred cows. This month’s target? Creativity. As Roy says: “Amateur ad writers believe in creativity. Accomplished ad writers believe in strategy.”

The July issue also features content from radio’s top trainers, advocates, and idea people including Pat Bryson, John Shomby, Paige Nienaber, and Valerie Geller. You won’t want to miss it!
