KNBR Fighting Bay Area Hunger

KNBR 104.5/680 AM raised more than $100,000 to help a San Francisco area non-profit aid families impacted by COVID-19. The Cumulus Media station partnered with Giving In Motion for the GoFundMe online campaign.

The funds, raised from June 1-5, will provide more than 6,000 family meals, along with more than 1,000 bags of school supplies and household essentials. KNBR staff will deliver the meals to people in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland and Walnut Creek with the help of Giving In Motion.

“The KNBR family is proud to raise these funds and assist ongoing recovery efforts here within the Bay Area community,” said Jeremiah Crowe, PD. “During these challenging times, we are grateful to every KNBR listener who stepped up to the plate and helped our neighbors in need.”

“We want to thank KNBR for partnering with Giving In Motion to unite the Bay Area in providing 6,500 meals and 1,300 bags of essential items for families in the Bay Area affected by COVID-19,” said Pat Williams, Co-Founder, Giving in Motion.
